According to French media reports, Manchester United have commenced talks with AS Monaco to land Djibril Sidibe this summer transfer window.
Man United want the solid defender
French publication Le10Sport, as cited by Metro, is claiming that Man United are keen on landing the 25-year-old defender this summer window as manager Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his team ahead of next term.
The Red Devils are set to be heavily linked with a number of players in the coming weeks as Jose Mourinho aims to build a squad good enough to win the English Premier League title next term.
The same report states that signing Djibril Sidibe will be one of United’s top transfer priorities in the summer as the former Chelsea boss aims to reinforce his team.
Monaco want a huge fee for the defender
However, the same report states that his Ligue 1 side will demand a huge transfer fee for the big defender this summer transfer window.
He was a regular figure in the Monaco squad this term and he netted two goals and provided six assists in 26 French Ligue 1 matches for the French outfit.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are currently getting set for their Emirates FA Cup final clash against 2017 Premier League champions Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
