Manchester United summer signing Romelu Lukaku has been on fire at Old Trafford since he made the move to his new side from Everton.
And former Man United player Dwight Yorke has hailed the Belgian, noting that Romelu is more of a threat than Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Belgium international has made an impressive start to his career at Manchester following his £75million move from Goodison Park, and he has scored five goals in his first five English top flight matches for his new side.
And Dwight, who helped the red devils win three premier league titles during his spell at Old Trafford, made it known that he isn’t surprised by the impact the former Everton striker has made under Jose Mourinho so far, and that Romelu is more of a threat than Ibrahimovic.
Speaking to talkSPORT recently, the 45-year-old made it known that he has been a supporter of Lukaku even when he was still at Everton, and that he was always calling for his former club to sign him into Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.
‘I felt going to Manchester United would make Lukaku a [much] better player… [and] I felt like we got the right man and for the first five matches, Lukaku has proven that.’ Yorke said.
Lukaku was one of three players signed by Jose Mourinho’s side during the transfer window along with Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof.
“He is more of a threat [than Ibrahimovic] because he is looking to run behind.” Yorke added.
