Chelsea former player Hernan Crespo is supporting Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United to win this season premier league title due to the presence of the Portuguese manager.
Crespo used five years with Chelsea, even though three of those were on loan to the Serie A.
Nevertheless, the Argentine was an influential member at Stamford Bridge and he won the premier league with Chelsea in 2006 when Jose Mourinho was boss at the club.
The west Londoners were able to win the title last season despite being Antonio Conte’s first campaign at the club, Hernan still thinks Jose will bring back the trophy to Man United come May.
Speaking to Betstar, Crespo said:
‘I think Man Utd will win the title because Mourinho has never failed in a second season.’
‘Mourinho is one of the best [managers] in the world who has made history with Porto, Milan, and he can do it with Manchester United too.’
And the former Argentina international also seem to enjoy working under the Portuguese tactician.
‘It is hard to explain. But when you play with him [Mourinho], you feel like the best striker in the world.’ he said.
So far this summer, the Old Trafford club have landed Victor Lindelof (from Benfica), Romelu Lukaku (from Everton), and Nemanja Matic (from Chelsea).
They are also strongly linked with Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic and Tottenham Hotspur fullback Danny Rose.
