Man City boss Pep Guardiola has asked his side to put the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Arsenal behind them, and concentrate on the Manchester United game at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night.
However, the former Barcelona manager could be without the duo of David Silva and Sergio Aguero in the Manchester United derby as both were forced off during the FA Cup clash.
It was Argentine star Sergio Aguero who broke the deadlock in the 62 minute at Wembley with a superb goal. But Arsenal’s Monreal equalised not too long, before former Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez scored the victory.
Even though Pep is obviously disappointed with the game, he has called on his men to bounce back for Manchester United game – an important game that can determine if they will qualify for next season Champions League or not.
However, his side suffered two unpleasant blows after the duo of Silva and Aguero limped off at Wembley, and even though the manager confirmed his double concern, he could not tell yet if his two key players would miss the derby.
Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United players are in nice form presently, despite that few of the boys are injured. The Portuguese tactician will have to do without Swede legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the rest of this season after the former AC Milan striker limped off the pitch during Europa League duties last Thursday.
