According to several media reports, Premier League giants Manchester United are prepared to set a British transfer record £176m offer to complete the signing of winger Gareth Bale from La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Spanish media outlet OK Diario, as cited by the Daily Express, is claiming that the Red Devils are preparing a club transfer record offer to complete the signing of the Wales international winger in the summer window.
The same report suggests that the former Tottenham forward still hasn’t decided his future after French tactician Zinedine Zidane stepped aside as boss at the conclusion of the 2017-18 campaign following their UEFA Champions League triumph.
Another lifeline
Former Spain tactician Julen Lopetegui has taken charge of the Santiago Bernabeu from Zizou to offer the Welshman a lifeline at the Spanish side with five successful campaigns at Real Madrid following his £85million transfer from North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur.
The winger has a deal that will run until the summer of 2022 with the UEFA Champions League winners to ensure the Los Blancos can extract maximum value for Bale.
