It is now clear that former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will not be joining any Portuguese club anytime soon.
The Portuguese international has been jobless since December as he was sacked by the Man United management for poor results this season which makes him linked to a number of clubs including Real Madrid and Benfica.
Benfica President had told the former Man United boss that they have got the funds to secure his signature following reports that the Portuguese side cannot pay for his services.
However, it is now clear that Mourinho will not be heading to Portugal as he claims to have no intention of doing that.
Jose Mourinho, therefore, stated that he is happy being away from the game because he is no longer talked about and that gets him relieved as he hopes to think and prepare for his next step.
Meanwhile, United have moved on from the Portuguese boss and have started a new life under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the hope that a permanent manager would be taking over at the end of the season.
A number of managers have been linked wither the job at the Old Trafford but Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino seems to be on top of the wish list.
