Finally, Jose Mourinho Ready To Get £50million Star Signing For Manchester United Done

Last month’s winter transfer session, English Premier League giants Manchester United were heavily linked with a move to sign Swedish international and SL Benfica star defender Victor Lindelof. However in the end of it all, the strong central defender opted to stay with the reigning Primeira Liga champions.

The Old Trafford club however still have other outstanding players such as Smalling, Rojo, Jones, Bailly and Blind who can all effectively play in the central defense.

However If reports are anything to go by, The Sun insisted that the Old Trafford club are trying to off load one of their star players in the person of Blind – and United Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho is eyeing a summer move to lure Victor Lindelof as a replacement.

Blind has been been a key member of the Man United squad in this current campaign. The Dutch international has scored one goal and has provided two assists in 17 league appearances this season so far for the Old Trafford club.

However, the Sun stated that the former Ajax defender has not been able to impress Jose Mourinho.

Victor Lindelof, just like Blind, is also a versatile talented player. The former Vasteras player is a versatile defender that can play both in the central defense and also as a left fullback.

The Daily Express earlier this month exclusively revealed that the Portuguese coach had the chance to sign Lindelof for £34.5 million in the winter window. His Portuguese club have paid to remove the minimum release clause and now, it was said that he would cost around 50 million pounds.

This season so far, Lindelof in 21 league appearances has helped Benfica keep 13 clean sheets. Currently, Benfica are leading their title rivals Porto by 3 points as they hope to win the league again this season.
