With just few days to the opening of January transfer window, rumors making the round claims that Chelsea are set to make move for Colombian international midfielder James Rodriguez in January transfer window.
This report is according to Spanish media Don Balon, which claims the Stamford Bridge outfit are ready to sanction a move for the highly rated midfielder.
Chelsea creative midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been on a poor run-of-form this season, having started just one Premier League match, which was against his former club Arsenal.
The Spaniard is reportedly set to go on a short-term loan away from Stamford Bridge in January and could Rodriguez be a good replacement for the Spaniard, should he eventually leaves.
The 25-years old South American has fallen down the pecking order in Real Madrid starting eleven, with the Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane preferring the likes of Gareth Bale, Lucas Modric, Mateo Kovacic and young star Marco Asensio in the attacking midfield position.
The former AS Monaco play-maker moved to Santiago Bernabeu in 2014 summer transfer window for a reported fee of £63million, after an outstanding performance at the World Cup.
However, should the sensational South American be allowed to leave Bernabeu in the winter, Chelsea will have to battle arch rival Manchester United, Paris Saint German and Italian giant Juventus for the services of the midfield maestro.
