English Premier League outfit Man United are reported to have met former player Rio Ferdinand again for further talks as they hope to bring him in for a specific role at the club.
The Red Devils are in search of a sporting director who will handle the affairs if transfer activities after the development that occurred in the last summer window between the former manager Jose Mourinho and the excursive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
However, there were worries that an agreement was reached with Rio Ferdinand but no well spelled out terms for his duties at the club and that needed to be sorted out.
It is therefore understood that the management has now told Rio Ferdinand that he will surprise the transfer activities of the club as soon as the summer transfer window is opened if an agreement is reached at the end of the day.
Rio Ferdinand’s pedigree at the Old Trafford is well known as he is one of the most important players to have put on the Red jersey in the past.
It would be expected that he makes good use of his influence and contact to help his former side with a number of great signings that will return them to winning ways.
