Vincent Kompany defends teammate Joe Hart
Vincent Kompany has defended Manchester City teammate Joe Hart after the England goalkeeper was at fault for Wales' goal on Thursday. Hart failed to keep out a 35-yard free kick from Gareth Bale, but was rescued by goals from Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge as England came back to win the Group B clash 2-1. And Kompany, working as an analyst for ESPN in France, believes that the goalkeeper is hugely important for Roy Hodgson's men on and off the pitch. Yaya Toure set to reject Inter Milan
Inter could miss out on Yaya Toure for a second consecutive summer, with the midfielder expected to remain with Premier League side Manchester City. The 33-year-old had been earmarked as the player to kick-start coach Roberto Mancini’s second stint with the Nerazzurri last summer, but a deal could not be found to take him to Milan. The 2016/17 Premier League fixture list has been announced and Arsenal will face Liverpool, while Bournemouth will tackle Manchester United on a thrilling opening weekend. The new top flight season gets underway on the weekend of August 13/14 and a thrilling start also sees champions Leicester travel to Hull City. Spain attacker Nolito says he is aware of speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City this summer but is just concentrating on having success at Euro 2016. Celta Vigo attacker Nolito, 29, has established himself as a regular with the Spain team over the last 18 months and he started Monday's Group D win against Czech Republic in Toulouse, although he had been substituted by the time Gerard Pique headed the game's only goal in the 87th minute.
