German giants Bayern Munich have reportedly moved ahead of Liverpool and other interested clubs in the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
According to a report from transfer news outlet Caughtoffside, The Germans are now favourites to sign the Welsh international star ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.
Aaron Ramsey has over six months left on his Arsenal contract and that has led to transfer reports linking the former Cardiff City playmaker with a move away from the Gunners.
He has been linked with several European clubs.
Some of the reported potential suitors include former European champions Manchester United, Liverpool, Juventus, Bayern Munich and AC Milan.
Ramsey signed for Arsenal in 2008 after the Gunners beat rivals Manchester United to his signature.
They reportedly paid £4.8m for him and he has more than repay the money during his stay at the club.
The 27-year-old figured heavily for Arsenal in their recent FA Cup title triumphs against English Championship side Hull City and London rivals Chelsea in 2014 and 2017 respectively.
He scored the winning goal in the aforementioned games.
The Welshman is on his way out of the club after the Arsenal hierarchy withdrew their contract offer to him.
