English Premier League outfit Arsenal had a very quiet winter transfer window before it came to an end but that is not expected to happen in the coming summer window.
This is after it has been established that club is already making efforts to secure more additions so as to strengthen the team to be able to compete for a title.
RB Leipzig central defender Ibrahima Konate has been identified by the North London side as the player that will come in to make the difference in the team ahead of next season.
The Gunners have been short in the defensive department and that has been blamed as the reason for their poor performance as a number of players in that position are out to injury.
Arsenal have one of the worst defence so far this season, having conceded 36 goals in their 25 Premier League games, a development that is unacceptable for a big team like Arsenal.
However, Gunners manager Unai Emery is confident that Ibrahima Konate will join the Stamford Bridge to give the needed defensive steel that will help to carry on the coming season.
As a result of the poor defence, the Gunners are already on the verge of missing out of the Champions League next season by not making the top 4.
