According to reports in France, Premier League giant Arsenal have “real interest” in signing Nice star Jean-Michael Seri.
The 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign at the Allianz Riviera.
Seri played 34 top flight matches for Nice, netting seven goals and providing nine assists to help his French side claim an impressive third-place finish at the end of the season.
And his brilliant performances have seemingly not gone unnoticed at the Emirates Stadium.
L’Equipe are of the opinion that Arsenal have genuine interest in the Ivorian midfielder.
It as been reported that AS Roma will be closing in on a deal to sign him but the Italian but are unwilling to meet the £36m price tag.
Premier League duo of Tottenham Hotspur and Swansea are both also credited with interest, but L’Equipe claim North London is currently his most likely and preferred destination.
They reckon Arsenal could ramp up their interest after Nice’s upcoming UEFA Champions League qualifier against Dutch side Ajax.
Seri joined Ligue 1 outfit Nice from Portuguese outfit Pacos de Ferreira for under £1m back in the summer of 2015.
He still has two seasons left to run on his current contract with the French club.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has already raided his country France to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon this summer transfer window.
The French coach also moved to bring in Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Bundesliga side Schalke.
