One-time Champions League finalists Arsenal have joined London rivals Chelsea in the race to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie according to various media reports.
Caughtoffside claim that the Gunners want to sign the talented Ivorian international midfielder when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
Franck Kessie signed for seven-time European champions AC Milan in the summer of 2017 from fellow Italian top flight side Atalanta.
The Rossoneri paid €32m to secure his transfer from Atalanta with the player putting pen to paper on a four-year deal until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Since his transfer, the 22-year-old has played 58 times for AC Milan in the Premier League.
He had a very good debut season in the last campaign but Franck Kessie has not been able to replicate that form this term.
Fellow midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has taken the shine off Franck Kessie since he became a Milan player.
Bakayoko joined AC Milan on loan for this season from Chelsea.
Franck Kessie has also been attracting the interest of French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) apart from the London duo of Arsenal and Chelsea.
PSG want to strengthen their midfield options in the summer with a move for Franck Kessie.
