Premier League club Arsenal are reportedly considering submitting a bid for Juventus and Bosnia midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
The Emirate club are in the market for a central midfielder and are apparently setting their sights high on the Juventus playmaker.
The Gunners have contacted the Serie A giant through intermediaries about the availability of Pjanic, reports BEIN Sports via Tuttosport.
The report says that the Emirate club would be willing to offer £35m for the Bosnia International midfielder
Tuttosport, however, reports that the claim has been denied in Italy.
Pjanic only joined the Old Lady two summer ago and went on to have an excellent season, winning Serie A and helping his team reach the Champions League final where they were humiliated by Real Madrid.
A player of his quality would certainly strengthen Arsenal’s midfield, but it’s doubtful Juventus would be willing to let go without a significant offer.
Transfermarketweb reported earlier in the year that Pjanic is eager to start a new chapter of his football career with Arsenal after struggling to make an impact with the club earlier last season.
He joined the Turin club from Roma for £27m. Pjanic is under contract with the Serie A Champions until June 2021.
