New reports states that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has asked Russian club owner and billionaire, Mr Roman Abramovich, to sign Fiorentina star player Federico Bernardeschi from the Italian club.
The player has been linked with Chelsea for quite some time, and as the summer transfer window draws nearer, he is back into limelight as the west London club reportedly remain strong in the race for him.
He was highlighted by popular Italian news source Gazzetta Dello Sport, and it was reported that his Italian club would be offering him a contract renewal.
So, the 23-year-old star is being presented with the opportunity to make his decisions. He can choose to remain at Fiorentina (a club he has been right from when he was still younger) or accept the challenge of going to a bigger club Chelsea.
However, It was added that not only Chelsea are interested in Bernardeschi, but that other Italian clubs like Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan are all wanting to get his signature – so the competition is tough.
And even though Bundesliga side Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in him, Chelsea are said to be stronger of all.
Chelsea manager is reported to be a long term admirer of Federico and has already told the club owner that he wants him signed.
