Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann has revealed he will not be joining Real Madrid next summer, while he admitted there are talks to leave the Vicente Calderon next summer.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from Atleti, with reports that Manchester United are frontrunners in the deal to sign the Frenchman who is a close friend to Red Devils star, Paul Pogba.
Despite dismissing reports earlier, Griezmann has now admitted he might move next summer but has completely ruled out a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
He said: ‘I cannot say yes or no, otherwise I will be in the sh**,
‘You never know what will happen in football but jumping from Atletico to Real, I do not think it is very feasible.
‘Very, very few players have done that, so I think it is dead [the idea].’
‘Eric Olhats, my sporting advisor, takes calls and speaks with me,
‘We are happy to get these calls but for now, I am happy here and in a good mood.
‘As I often say, I am here. When we speak about Real and Atletico, it is not good for the fans or the club.
‘I continue to work hard, to enjoy my football and I am happy on the pitch as you saw today.’
It is understood that Jose Mourinho views Griezmann has a viable replacement for Wayne Rooney who might be leaving the Old Trafford next summer.
