22-year-old United midfielder on his way to South American club

Emerging reports claim that Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira could be on his way to South American outfit Santos ahead of the coming winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

Andreas Pereira has had a frustrating season at the Old Trafford as he has been denied enough playing time which makes him desperate to leave the club in coming weeks when the transfer window reopens.

Although manager Jose Mourinho has now been sacked by the club for bad results, there are suggestions that the Brazilian international might not see hope under the new manager which makes him insist on leaving the club.

However, Santos boss Jorge Sampaoli is reported to be ready to pay big for the star player so as to have him join the club ahead of other suitors.

The South American club is not alone in the bid for Andreas Pereira with some English Premier League sides, Arsenal West Ham United and Chelsea all keen to land him as well.

Andreas Pereira has got a release clause of about £10 million in his contract that expires at the end of next season which makes United ready to let him leave so as not to lose him for free without cashing in.
