Everton midfielder Andre Gomes has reportedly been linked with a summer move to fellow Premier League side Chelsea.
According to the publication from thesportsman, the Blues’ midfield options would be better with the addition of Portuguese international player Andre Gomes.
The 25-year-old was part of the Portugal squad that surprisingly won the 2016 European Championship in France via a 1-0 win over the hosts.
Former Swansea City striker Eder scored the only goal of the game to hand Portugal a big win as well as a first ever title at senior level.
Andre Gomes signed for Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona from fellow top flight club Valencia shortly after the aforementioned tournament.
He failed to make a considerable impact during his two years at the Nou Camp before he joined Merseyside giants Everton on loan at the start of this season.
Andre Gomes has reignited his career at Everton and he has been one of the best players in an inconsistent team.
His Everton form has been attracting interest from major Premier League sides like Liverpool and Chelsea.
Andre Gomes scored his first goal in an Everton shirt during the Toffees’ last league game against newly promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers which ended in a 3-1 defeat at Goodison Park.
