Benfica wonderkid Joao Felix is one of the best talents from the 1999 generation according to his agent Felix Cordeiro.

He has tipped Joao Felix to break the Portuguese transfer record in his latest interview.

Felix Cordeiro told Portuguese newspaper Record that his client is a future Ballon d’Or winner.

Joao Felix is enjoying a breakthrough season at Portuguese Super League giants Benfica and his superb form has been attracting the interest of several European clubs including Liverpool.

He has a €120m (£105m) release clause in his current deal with Benfica having signed a new contract with the former European champions recently.

The 19-year-old has scored nine goals in addition to five assists in 23 appearances for Benfica this season.

Earlier reports claimed that Liverpool had a £61m bid rejected for the player with Benfica holding out for the release clause in full.

Benfica also want to capitalise on the interest from several clubs by increasing his release clause.

Joao Felix has already revealed that Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol and that could push him closer to the Old Lady.

Apart from Liverpool and Juventus, Manchester United, Barcelona and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for the talented Portuguese attacker.
