Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca has hinted at a potential move to Manchester United this summer, after claiming that Jose Mourinho loves him.

The Red Devils have just completed summer move for Sweden defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica as part of Jose Mourinho’s plans to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the midfielder in previous transfer windows.

It is understood that Benfica have set a £21million release clause in Talisca’s contract, even though he spent last season at Turkish giants, Besiktas.

When asked about Manchester United’s chances of signing him: ‘It’s a question that I can not answer… yet,’

‘But it’s a love that exists, I will not lie.

‘But it doesn’t depend on me alone, it depends on Benfica and my agents who are dealing with the situation. Soon, there will be the news.

‘It’s something that all players want [a move to Manchester United]. I had a good season and, as I said, his love is old and I like his work as well. I hope everything works out.’

Although, it seems very unlikely that Manchester United will sign the midfielder due to reports that Mourinho wants more established names in his squad.
