United tipped to land “next Xavi”
English Premier League outfit Man United have been tipped to land French Ligue 1 outfit PSG star Marco Verratti who has been tipped to be the next Xavi.
A former Man United forward Dimitar Berbatov has hailed Marco Veratto after he was impressed watching him in the Champions League clash last weekend.
Marco Verratti operated at the centre of the midfield alongside Marqinhos which was enough to frustrate the United’s attack and stop their movements. No doubt they smiled home with a 2-0 victory.
The former Red Devils forward said Marco Veratto was not just on ground to distribute the ball but he ensured the ball was at the reach of his team at all time.
He noted that his former side lack a player like the Italy international at the middle and urged them to do all it takes to land him in the coming summer window.
Berbatov stated that Marco Veratto reminds him of Xavi and Iniesta with the way they played, stressing that the PSG man would be a great addition to United, to play alongside Nemanja Matic in the middle.
However, United seem to be more interested in strengthening their defence as the position has been identified as their weakest link.
