English Premier League outfit Manchester United have hit the dead rock in their pursuit of Italian Serie A outfit Juventus star Douglas Costa in the winter transfer window.
Reports according to Rai Sport, as quoted by Calciomercato claims that the Red Devils have got a bid of €60 million submitted for the Brazilian international which was rejected.
Juventus are reported not to be unsatisfied with the bid as they regard Douglas Costa as one of their most prized asset who should not go for as low as €60 million during the January transfer window.
Despite being seen as an important member of the Juventus team, the 28-year-old star has fallen out of favour in the selection of Massimiliano Allegri having lost form.
However, Douglas Costa is being linked away from the club because he has been inconsistent in his performance on the pitch but his quality is well known to the Red Devils.
United are desperate to have new additions to the team as they hope to strengthen so as to win more games as well as finish in top four to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The second half of the season promises to be more difficult and United are ready to brace up their team for the challenge.
