According to reports, Arsenal are in talks with Rangers FC over a loan move for Spanish star player Jon Toral.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder spent the first half of the season on loan at Granada in Spain, and he is now ready for another temporary switch away from the Emirates.
Sky Sports reports that the Scottish club are interested in signing the Spaniard on a short-term deal and the negotiations over the loan deal have kicked off and would be finalized soon.
Back in 2011, Arsenal scooped Toral from the highly-rated Barcelona academy but he is however yet to make his senior debut for them. He made just six appearances for Granada, scoring just once.
It is important for the midfielder at this stage to get regular games under his belt, so Arsenal thinks a move to Rangers would be more beneficial to him. Rangers are presently occupying the second position in the Scottish Premiership, and they can add provide a good opportunity for the midfielder.
Arsenal presently have a handful of attacking midfielders at the Emirates, so there is no way Wenger can actually guarantee him regular chances in the squad.
Nevertheless, considering the fact that Arsene is known as a man who loves giving youngsters the opportunity to impress at the top level, if Toral should perform well at Rangers, he will show that he is ready to play for the Gunners.
