As we count down to January- the next transfer window, many teams are already set to participate in the party. Manchester United are not exempted, they are working to sign new players, and would have to let some others leave the Old Trafford.
One of the players speculated to leave Old Trafford in January is goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. And as it stands now, Stoke City could beat Aston Villa to get the goalkeeper after making enquiries about his availability.
Aston Villa coach Steve Bruce has being trying to add value to his team, and is interested in adding more spice to his present squad. Therefore, reports had it that he had been looking at a loan deal for Sam.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Mark Hughes is reportedly looking at Johnstone now that his first goalie has been forced to have another ankle operation and will be out for at least three months.
The Potters had been looking at making Lee Grant’s deal from Derby County permanent, but as yet, the clubs have been unable to agree a fee.
23-year-old Johnstone is interested in getting more first-team actions- something the duo of David De Gea and Sergio Romero are hindering him at Old Trafford.
