English Premier League outfit Arsenal Spanish defender Nacho Monreal has hailed German international Mesut Ozil for the quality he brings to the Arsenal team since.
The former Real Madrid star has faced his most challenging Arsenal career this season as he was relegated to the bench and almost left out of the Unai Emery team.
The Gunners boss had complained about the performance of the German international to the team, noting that he does not contribute as much as he earns at the club.
However, Nacho Monreal said despite the challenges faced by the former Real Madrid star, he still gave his all in training, stressing that Mesut Ozil is a committed Arsenal player.
He stressed that Mesut Ozil is important to the team and of top quality and he has been contributing with his passes and assists, in addition to the goals so far.
Nacho Monreal, therefore, exposed the fact that Arsenal opponents are usually wary whenever they see the star player on the pitch because they understand how much damage he can do to them.
However, Mesut Ozil has been linked away from the Emirates Stadium but he has insisted on staying back to fight for a starting role at the club.
