Simmons sure of lifting the cup as the 117th match commence tomorrow
New report have made it known that the 117th match will begin tomorrow and St. George new captain, Simmons Macai has assured the team they will lift the cup this time around.
The last time they lifted the cup was in 2012 and they look prepared to deliver this time around.
This might be possible for the St. George side owing to the fact many of the other teams are new faces.
The only other two teams Lionel Cann and Rodney Trott, who could have given them a tough time are not playing.
Therefore, they are sure of lifting the cup.
However, Simmons Macai, who just took over as the captain last year with this being his third Cup Match in a statement said the team was ready to give in their best to achieve the expected results.
So far in his stay at St. George, Simmons has gain a experience that would help him perform well as captain.
Going by past records, the Somerset side have been the dominant side for some while now as that have a total of 37 wins to 32 by St George’s and 47 draws have been recorded.
