Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has risked spending the rest of the season on the bench at Anfield after rejecting three loan offers this transfer window, according to reports.

The Daily Mirror claims that the France international turned down a transfer deadline day move to Turkish side Besiktas, while he also rejected loans to West Brom and Stoke earlier in the window.
Sakho is understood to want to stay and fight for his place at Liverpool despite Jurgen Klopp telling the centre-back he is now fifth in the queue for a starting berth.
The newspaper report also states that the 26-year-old may have moved but was holding out for interest to materialise from France or Italy.
It has been a whirlwind few months for the Reds defender, having been suspended by UEFA back in April for a failed drugs test, although he was later cleared.
The suspension meant he missed the Europa League final and Euro 2016 for his country, before being sent home from Liverpool’s pre-season tour of America by Klopp for breaching club rules
