Everton forward Romelu Lukaku has posted a cryptic message on his social media following reports of a failed bid from Chelsea.
The Belgian star has been in an impressive form this season for the Toffees, scoring 24 goals to lead goalscorers chart in the Premier League, but has refused to extend his contract at Goodison Park with suggestions that he wants to move to a bigger club and play in the Champions League next season.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman had also come out to reveal that Lukaku will not be signing a new contract at the club, fuelling speculations that the 23-year-old might move to Chelsea or Manchester United.
Reports in The Sun also reveal that Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has rejected a £68million initial bid for Lukaku from Chelsea which made the striker unhappy with the decision.
He has also gone on his social media to express his current situation at the club, posting a link to the song ‘Ball Drop ‘ by the catch line which read: ” When the hate don’t work they start telling lies…”
It is understood that Lukaku will push for a transfer away from Goodison Park and might spark a bidding battle between Manchester United and Chelsea while Everton will remain adamant on getting up to £100million for their top striker.
