While it is fair to say that Mourinho has not managed the situation properly, legendary player, Ian Wright thinks the fact that the player won the last edition of the World Cup with France makes it an issue for the club.
Pogba was instrumental to the success achieved by the Didier Deschamps’ side at the World Cup where they emerged winner in the 4-2 encounter against Croatia.
Coming back to United, his performance has been below what was seen in Russia, a situation that contributed to why the team lost two consecutive games in the league.
With the entire reported rift, the Frenchman is reported to be planning a move with Barcelona mentioned as his intended destination.
Wright in his reaction to the whole controversies said the World Cup success might be getting into the player’s head, insisting that the player has not lived up to expectation in the Premier League.
He added that the 25-year-old now have a false sense of security which makes him think he is bigger than what he is.
The former England striker concluded by saying that it was expected that a world champion develops an inflated ego but it might be unacceptable to Mourinho.
