Manchester United boss, José Mourinho is under a huge pressure to perform. His team is finding it difficult to properly dominate other teams as expected and a few reasons can be seen as the bedrock of their problems. One of such is surprisingly, Wayne Rooney. Back in 2004, Wazza as Wayne Rooney is fondly called was a hit shot. He had shone at the Euros and got Manchester United falling for him. He went ahead to score a hattrick on his UEFA Champions League debut. He is a record scorer for both club and country, but his form has dwindled in recent years. Wayne Rooney started his journey out of his high standards in the concluding years of veteran gaffer, Sir Alex Ferguson. Yes he was getting old and can't continue to perform at the level he was earlier, but he … [Read more...]

Africa richest man Aliko Dangote plans to buy Arsenal in four years
Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, says he has outlined his plans to buy Arsenal in the near future. The Nigerian has claimed that he wants to buy Arsenal within "three to four years". Aliko Dangote, a businessman who has an estimated wealth of $10.9billion, stated last year that he was prepared to pay any sum to take ownership of the Premier League club away from Stan Kroenke. Dangote, an Arsenal fan whose fortune is largely tied up in Lagos-based Dangote Cement Plc, is reported to have lost $4.4bn this year due largely to the depreciation of Nigeria's currency. But the 59-year-old says he still plans to complete a takeover of the Gunners before the end of the decade once his latest ventures in gas pipelines and an oil refinery have … [Read more...]
Chelsea showed interest in me- Alvaro Morata
Real Madrid and Spain striker Alvaro Morata has confirmed that Chelsea made a £60m offer for him in the summer. Morata was one of the most on-demand players of the summer, with a raft of Premier League clubs thought to be interested in signing him. Los Blancos activated his buy-out clause in order to bring him back to the Bernabeu from Juventus for £34m, but it was expected that the Capital club would sell him on for profit. But Morata stayed put at Madrid as Zinedine Zidane saw him as an important player for his side. The striker has scored one goal and assisted another in five La Liga games this season. “Chelsea showed the most interest,” the Spain international told German newspaper Sport Bild. “Antonio Conte had already signed me for Juventus … [Read more...]
Mourinho hits out at ‘football Einsteins’ for dismissing his Manchester United efforts
Jose Mourinho has hit out at "football Einsteins" who he claims have tried to dismiss his career triumphs and Manchester United's history during a difficult week for the club. "We had a bad week. I know that some football Einsteins – football is full of Einsteins – they try to delete 16 years of my career, to delete an unbelievable history of Man United and focus on a bad week. But that's the new football. It's full of Einsteins, " noted the former Chelsea manager United defeated Northampton Town 1-3 on Wednesday to progress on to the fourth round of the EFL Cup and end a run of three consecutive defeats against Manchester City, Feyenoord and Watford. Northampton equalised after a Michael Carrick's opener thanks to Alex Revell's penalty just before half-time on … [Read more...]
5 Things Mourinho Should Do To Return Manchester United To Their Expected Form
José Mourinho's dream job had a dream start but after going three consecutive matches without a single point, undue pressure is on the Manchester United boss to perform in order to save his face, job and Manchester United's huge pedigree. Here are a few things he can do to get along with Old Trafford faithful again: 1. Set up a team This season, Manchester United have fielded a team with almost the same names but without shape, cohesion and perfect understanding of themselves. There is a huge selection headache on which defensive pairing, midfield pairing, and most efficient front line to employ, and his tinkering so far underlines the fact that he may not stumble in the know on his typical Manchester United team. This is an appalling development since he … [Read more...]
Zidane: guiding Real Madrid to surpass Barcelona
Last weekend, Zinedine Zidane guided his Real Madrid side to a record equaling 16-match winning streak, now they stand a chance to obliterate that record which they share with Barcelona who's run lasted in the 2010/2011 LaLiga season under the tutelage of Pe Guardiola, if they can beat Villarreal at Santiago Bernebeu tonight. The last time the Frenchman tasted a result other than a win was back in February when he lost to Diego Simeone led Atletico, after taking over from Rafa Benitez after he struggled to keep Real Madrid close to the LaLiga title. Real Madrid has since recorded 16 wins, 12 in the closing stages of last season and all 4 games this season, beating Levante, Celta Vigo (twice), Las Palmas, Sevilla Barcelona, Eibar, Getafe, Villarreal, Vallecano, … [Read more...]
