Chelsea Star Is On His Way Out: This Premier League Club Ready To Pounce On His Signature

Michy Batshuayi

West Ham United are gearing up for a summer bid for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi, according to reports.

The 23-year-old arrived at the Blues last summer from Ligue 1 side, Marseille for £33million but has failed to impress at the club due to his lack of chances at the Bridge as Antonio Conte preferred Diego Costa to the Belgian.

The Blues striker scored the winning goal that sealed Chelsea’s title-winning against West Brom but has struggled to make an impression this season

Reports in the ESPN claim that West Ham are preparing for a loan move for Batshuayi who could be off this summer in a bid to get better first team opportunity elsewhere.

Although, Antonio Conte has come out to dismiss reports that the 23-year-old will be leaving the Bridge this summer, claiming that the striker is part of his plans next season.

Chelsea are in the market for a central striker this summer, with reports that Diego Costa wants to leave the club in favour of a move to the Stamford Bridge, leaving Batshuayi as the only recognised striker at Chelsea.

There are strong indications that the Blues will be reluctant to sell the Belgian forward this summer while the Hammers believe a loan deal could materialise.

Chelsea are understood to be considering move for Everton forward Romelu Lukaku who is deemed to be a vital replacement for Costa due to his proven ability to score goals in the Premier League. Torino striker, Andrea Belotti has also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer but his astronomical release clause.
