Man United Set To Miss Out On Versatile Star As Transfer Window Enters Homestretch

Fabinho

Manchester United might miss out on a deal to sign AS Monaco star, Fabinho with reports that Paris Saint Germain are ready to swoop for the Brazilian.

The defender turned midfielder has been tipped to make a move away from the Ligue 1 champions this summer with reports of keen interest from a couple of clubs in Europe.

United were said to have held talks with the player over a potential summer deal and were ready to swoop for him but the deal has dragged on for a while due to the reluctance of Monaco to sell any of their stars following the departures of Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko to Premier League clubs, despite reports that Fabinho wants to follow suit.

Mourinho is considering a summer move for a versatile star capable of playing in the midfield and right-back roles, with suggestions that the United boss is looking at the chances of luring Barcelona star Sergi Roberto to the Camp Nou this summer.

However, in Sky Italia claim that Paris Saint Germain could spoil the party for Manchester United by including Fabinho in a £201 million move that will also see Kylian Mbappe arrive at the Parc des Princes this summer.
