Both Manchester United and City are understood to be interested in signing Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, but it appears the red devils will be the ones to get him eventually.

According to reports, Manchester City are thinking of dropping the idea of bringing Sanchez to Etihad due to the superb form of the duo of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola was keen on signing a deadly striker into his team during the summer transfer window, and he identified the Arsenal man as the perfect guy who can add a more ruthless edge to his frontline.

Arsene Wenger’s side, however, refused to let go of the player, despite that they stand the chance of losing the former Barcelona man for nothing next summer.

And when a move couldn’t materialise before the window was slammed shut, the citizens were expected to reignite their move for the Chile international.

But the Sun are now reporting that Pep Guardiola’s side are ready to reassess whether they want to continue their pursuit of the player due to their incredible start to the term.

Both Gabriel and Sergio have been able to form a strong partnership up front City’s attack, scoring four and five goals respectively, and it was suggested that the club won’t want to break such fantastic partnership.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be keen on bringing Sanchez to Old Trafford, and it appears things will get easy for him next year.
