A reliable journalist recently confirmed that Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori is set to complete his move to Reading in the next 24 hours.
A Times correspondent Paul Joyce, said on his personal Twitter account last Monday that the defender had agreed a move to Reading in a £3.7million move .
Nevertheless, it was said that the formalisation of the deal had been held up by an ongoing Chinese takeover of the Royals and is presently waiting for approval from the Premier Leauge .
Interestingly, everything seem to be moving in the right direction as chief football writer for the Press Association Simon Peach stated on his personal Twitter account on Monday that the transfer was set to be announced in the “next day.”
“Tiago Ilori’s move from Liverpool to Reading set to – belatedly – be announced in the next day. Should be involved at Derby on Saturday” Peach wrote.
Tiago Ilori joined Liverpool in the summer of 2013 from Sporting Lisbon for a fee of £7million and has featured just three times for the Reds’ senior team since his arrival.
This season so far under boss Jurgen Klopp, he has not featured for Liverpool but has been reduced to appearances for the Under-23s side.He is now set to move to Reading who are presently fourth-placed in the Championship.
