Bayer Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz has expressed his doubts over star player Julian Brandt on whether he will stay at the club beyond this summer.
Julian Brandt has been in very good form for Bayer Leverkusen this season and that has attracted the attention of some European clubs including Champions League finalists Liverpool.
Peter Bosz spoke about the German international player in an interview with the official TV station of Bayer Leverkusen, Bayer 04 TV.
According to him, it’s not sure whether Julian Brandt will stay at the club beyond this season despite the qualification for Champions League football.
Peter Bosz is holding out hope that Champions League football is enough to make the player stay at the club for next season.
Bayer Leverkusen qualified for Champions League football after thrashing Hertha Berlin 5-1 in their final game of the season in the German Bundesliga.
The thumping win was more than enough to secure a top-four finish ahead of rivals Borussia Moenchengladbach who lost 2-0 at home to Borussia Dortmund.
Julian Brandt scored one of the goals for Bayer Leverkusen to take his goal tally to ten goals for the German club.
He also weighed in with 17 assists for Bayer Leverkusen this season.
