Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out a summer move for on loan Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The 30-year-old shot-stopper has been linked with a return to the Premier League following his impressive displays in the between in the Serie A with Torino.

Liverpool have tipped to make an audacious move for City goalkeeper, with speculations that Klopp had approved a summer move for Hart.

But the German boss has now suggested otherwise, he said: “You ask about goalkeepers but even though you don’t say the name is it about Joe Hart?”

“We don’t usually talk about these sort of things but in this particular case I think we can. He is a fantastic goalkeeper, the goalkeeper of the English national team, highest quality but we have highest-quality goalkeepers.”

“The young ones have also made really big steps. The situation with our goalkeepers is really good. I understand the question but I cannot give the answer probably a few people want.”

Liverpool have experienced problems at the back this season, with inconsistent displays from their defensive players, conceding cheap goals despite the attacking forays by the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

It is understood that Jurgen Klopp is keen on adding defensive reinforcements to his current squad and also on the look for better goalkeeper, as the duo of Simon Mignolet and Lloris Karius have not been convincing this season.
