Riyad Mahrez

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has agreed personal terms with Roma ahead of a potential move, according to reports.

The Gunners are keen on bringing a winger to the current squad this summer after completing deals for Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac already.

Arsene Wenger is believed to be looking at the possibility of signing either of Riyad Mahrez or Thomas Lemar with reports that the Frenchman prefers the latter due to his promising displays for AS Monaco last season as they won the French Ligue 1.

Arsenal were said to have approached Leicester City regarding a transfer deal for Riyad Mahrez but were pushed back by the club’s demands with reports that they are asking a fee in the region of £50 million to sell one of their key players.

The Algerian has made it clear that he wants to leave the King Power stadium this summer in a bid to get better opportunities elsewhere and there are reports that the winger will fancy a move to the Emirates, having proved himself in the Premier League it appears he has changed his mind.

Reports in Mediaset have it that Mahrez has agreed personal terms with Roma over a possible £44 million transfer move this summer.

Although, it remains unclear whether Roma will be willing to spend £44 million on Mahrez having sold Mohamed Salah to Liverpool for £39 million.
