Former Man United Manager Was Asked About Referee Performances Against Chelsea, And He Said This..

Almost everyone misses Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. The Old Trafford club is no longer what it used to be as when Sir Alex was still there.

Following his departure in 2013, Manchester United are no longer the force they once were.

Perhaps, if influential figures like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes were still in the team, maybe it would have been a different story.

But, like many others, they’ve retired. Former Everton boss David Moyes was brought in, but he failed and was shown the way out. And then, former Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal was also signed, the Dutch was also shown the way out last season. And now, former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is in charge, and it seems there is now a perfect successor for Sir Alex in the person of Jose Mourinho.

The former Real Madrid manager has been impressive this season so far. And he was definitely angry with referee Michael Oliver’s decision to show Ander Herrera the red card in their FA Cup quarter-final clash against Chelsea.

It now appears Mourinho thinks Micheal Oliver do not like him and his Man United team. The Portuguese coach lamented that in four matches officiated by Oliver, the ref has hit his side with three penalties and one red card.

However, being realistic, all three of the penalties Micheal Oliver has given against Man United this season (for Watford, for Everton, and for Liverpool) were all worth it.

Even if we feel Herrera shouldn’t have been shown the card, not all of Micheal’s decisions against the red devils have been that unreasonable.

And Sir Alex Ferguson too, made a joke about Oliver’s performance to BBC 5 Live:

“I wish I could swear about the referee but I won’t!” he simply said.
