Hertha Berlin striker Salomon Kalou was back to form for his club during their German Bundesliga game on Saturday.
The former Chelsea player scored a brace for Hertha Berlin to edge them to the right side of a seven-goal thriller with Augsburg.
Kalou scored twice in the second half to lead Hertha Berlin to a 4-3 away win over Augsburg at the WWK Arena.
The brace took his goal tally to eight goals in 29 league games for Hertha Berlin this season.
The 33-year-old was the star of the show for the visitors who climbed to tenth spot on the league table after amassing 43 points from the 33 games played in the German Bundesliga this season.
Hertha Berlin have little or nothing to play for ahead of the final league game of the season but they could make a big impact on those going to the Champions League or the Europa League.
Salomon Kalou and Hertha Berlin welcome Champions League chasers Bayer Leverkusen in their last game of the season.
Bayern Leverkusen face a big fight to get into the Champions League next season especially after yesterday’s 1-1 home draw with Schalke 04.
They are in a three-way battle for one spot with the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Moenchengladbach.
