Alvaro Morata

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has finally responded to speculations linking with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 23-year-old has not had the best of times in La Liga, starting only six games since the start of the season after joining Real from Juventus where he impressed but has become frustrated with his lack of chances.

Chelsea have continually shown their interest in the striker as they look to replace Diego Costa who might leave the Stamford Bridge amidst suggestions of a mega deal from China which was fueled by his training spat with Antonio Conte.

However, the Spanish striker has now posted a cryptic message on his social media along with a photo of himself training with teammate, Isco.

‘No matter what they say #halamadrid forever! This is Madrid and we ALL keep going to the death! With my brother @iscoalarcon in today’s training!’

Real president Florentino Perez is understood to be angered by Morata’s attitude, with reports that he told the striker: ‘If we get €60m (£51m) you can leave tomorrow,’ according to Spanish media outlet Diario Gol.

Morata has scored nine goals so far in the current La Liga season and could leave in search of first team opportunities.
