Unsettled Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez has confirmed he’s back in the City of London with a post on his personal Instagram page, as rumor hots up that he’s set to hand in an official transfer request to the Gunners.
The Chilean has been linked with a transfer to clubs like Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich this summer transfer window as he stalls on signing a new deal, with just 12 months left on his current contract.
Despite the risk of losing Sanchez on a free next summer, the Gunners have declared publicly that they have no plans to sell the former Barcelona forward, particularly not to a rival English club, and regardless of whether or not he signs a new contract.
Still, there has been plenty for fans to sweat over as latest reports indicate he will force a transfer after arriving back in London from his country Chile this week.
Sanchez, 28, was expected back in training on Sunday before contacting flu, with the forward confirming via Instagram last week that he was ‘sick,’ which the French tactician later confirmed was true.
Sanchez has now returned to English soil, and there will surely be further developments over his future before long as he has made it very clear he wants to play in the Champions League.
