Champions League: Barcelona vs Liverpool (Predicted Starting XI)

Barcelona and Liverpool meet at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night for the first meeting of their two-legged semifinal tie in the Champions League with both teams targeting a spot in the Madrid final in June.

The two teams have five European titles each and they are the top two favourites left in this year’s competition.

Spanish champions Barcelona are the favourites of all the four teams left in this season’s Champions League following the exit of Manchester City and Juventus in the last round.

Star player Lionel Messi will most likely play a big part if Barcelona will go all the way to win the Champions League.

Messi has scored 24 goals in 32 appearances against English opponents ahead of the Liverpool games and he’s the topscorer this term with ten goals.

Messi and Barcelona have no injury worries ahead of the Liverpool game on Wednesday night while their opponents are sweating on the fitness of both Roberto Firmino and Fabinho.

The two Brazilian players are expected to make the Liverpool squad for the game.

Barcelona XI: Marc Andre Ter Stegen; Sergio Roberto, Gerard Pique, Christian Lenglet, Jordi Alba; Arthur, Sergio Busquet, Ivan Rakitic; Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Philippe Coutinho.

Liverpool XI: Alisson Becker; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, Andy Robertson; Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita; Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
