brazil vs argentina

Brazil takes on Argentina in Jorge Sampaoli first game in Charge of Argentina as the Argentine side seeks (redemption) to start on a winning note under their new manager.

Brazil on their own have already qualified for the World Cup and under Tite Brazil has won 9 straight games at a stretch. With the Argentina match upcoming Brazil will be hoping to make it 10 wins out of 10 as both sides square off in Melbourne.

The two heavyweights of World Football will be hoping to outwit each other in the game as they aim to tighten their seat belts ahead of the four remaining World Cup qualifying games in the COMEBOL(South American)zone.

This is more peculiar for Argentina who needs all the result they can get as they are on the fifth position in the standings which is outside the automatic top four qualification places. With the game approaching, there are certainly things to look forward as the two talented football nations clash in an International friendly.

Here are some of the things to expect in the game.

A NEW TASTE OF RIVALRY

The Brazilian have been in long age rivalry with Argentina in the football world and this rivalry gets along very much in the World Cup qualifiers as both sides have to outdo each other in two games (on a home and away basis).

In the present campaign Brazil holds the way as they drew one goal apiece in Argentina as Brazil midfield player Renato Augusto equalized for the Selecao after Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi had put the host in front. In the reverse fixture the Brazilians then at home defeated Argentina who had some problems amongst themselves 3 nil to set the tone for the World Cup qualification.

When both sides meet once again the rivalry will be rekindled as both sides will surely engage in physical duels (challenges) in order to assert themselves pretty well in the game.

FRESH FACES FOR BRAZIL

The Brazilians might be going for a win as well but with World Cup qualification guaranteed the presence is off Tite team at least for the moment.

This have given the Manager the time and spectrum to think towards bolstering his squad with options ahead of the World Cup proper which is a sure banker for Brazil following their qualification some months ago.

Players like Neymar Jnr. that was very much involved in the Olympic games last summer has been granted holidays along with Daniel Alves,Marcelo Grohe and a host of others and it will be interesting to see how the new faces performs as they claim a spot in the winning team.

HOW WILL ARGENTINA LINE UP

The Argentine side parted ways with Eduardo Souza to appoint Jorge Sampaoli at the helm and he will be saddle with the challenge to qualify the team for the World Cup (nothing less) in the remaining four games left in the qualifiers.

Firstly he will have to face a new look but confident Brazil side who seems to have gotten their fear factor back.

It will be interesting to see how Jorge Sampaoli sets up his team ahead of the clash. It have been talked about in the media about a 3 4 3 formation with Juventus duo of Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala to line up alongside skipper Lionel Messi in a lethal front three.

The other point is about who are going to accompany the trio in the preferred 3 4 3 formation of which Paulo Dybala and Lionel Messi compatibility is of special interest to the new Argentine manager(Jorge Sampaoli) in Argentina quest for World Cup Qualification for Russia 2018.
