England first choice goalkeeper Joe Hart, who is presently at Italian Serie A side on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City, has stated that Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure can fire his side to the English Premier League (EPL) title after returning to the team to great effect in the last two league games.

The 33-year old African Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner, who is a four-time African footballer of the year made an impressive return to the Manchester City squad as he netted a brace to help his side to a 2-1 away win at struggling London side Crystal Palace as he played the entire duration of the league clash at Selhurst Park.

Yaya Toure was earlier frozen out of the team due to a much publicised row between his agent, Dmitri Seluk, and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

In an interview with Omnisport, Joe Hart highlighted the importance of Yaya Toure to his side’s target of winning the league. In his words, he said: “It’s great for him.”

“It’s been a situation that’s been played out pretty much worldwide, but it looks like he’s stayed focused and he’s come back into the team and he’s been important.

“Yaya’s a special player. I played with him for years, he’s got the ability to win you matches and win you leagues.

“Whatever’s going on behind the scenes looks like it’s sorted and he can get on with playing his football.” he concluded.
