According to reports coming from Italy, Inter Milan star player Zinho Vanheusden was a target for Liverpool during the summer transfer window and the Merseyside club desire completing a deal for the centre-back to get him to Anfield.
However, it was said that the Italian club blocked the move and refused to get it sanctioned.
Vanheusden was also linked with a move to Southampton earlier in the summer, but he is said to be highly regarded at San Siro and the Serie A club are planning to tie him down to a new contract.
The 18-year-old’s deal expires in 2019 and the reds had hoped that they’ be able to sign the teenager and add him to Jurgen Klopp’s squad. However, Inter Milan do not want to lose him yet.
The reds have apparently been scouting the Belgian youngster for a while and it appears they were really impressed with what they saw.
It is known that Liverpool have always been interested in acquiring some of the best young talent from around Europe. So we can expect that they go back to Milan to persuade Inter to allow the player come along to England.
If the player refused to sign another deal with Inter Milan and pushed for a move to England, Inter might be left with no other choice but to cash in on him before it is too late.
