Some hours ago, it was reported that the premier league duo of Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in Liverpool’s Emre Can despite that the German was linked with Serie A champions Juventus for much of this summer.
Tuttosport (via the Mirror) made it known that the two English clubs are keeping tabs on Can’s situation and are monitoring him as he enters the final months of his contract at Liverpool.
Champions League finalists Juve have long been linked with a move for the midfielder and will be able to open contract talks with him next January if he does not put pen to paper on a new contract at Anfield.
It is understood that the Turin-based club are being confident about their chances of signing the Germany international in January.
However, it is believed that there is a strained relationship between Liverpool and Chelsea that will make the reds avoid selling Emre to the Stamford Bridge club.
The two rivals are yet to agree on a fee for Dominic Solanke who moved to Anfield on a free transfer from Stamford Bridge over the summer.
Additionally, despite being strongly linked with a move to Chelsea during the transfer window, now-former Arsenal man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain chose to make the move to Anfield before the window was slammed shut on Thursday.
