Arsenal striker, Alexandre Lacazette is not ready to accept the comparison teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his countryman and former Gunners, Thierry Henry. Aubameyang had joined Arsenal in January, scoring 10 goals in 15 games for the North London side. His entire goals were extended to 16 altogether in the 5-1 win against Fulham. His stylish goals and pattern of play has, therefore, ensured he is compared with the club’s legend who is one of the record scorers in Arsenal history. Unlike the Gabon international, Henry had scored only 5 goals for Arsenal in his first season but went ahead to becoming the club’s highest goal scorer and Aubameyang has 212 goals to score before matching the record. That seems unbelievable for Lacazette who is not … [Read more...]
What next after Ramsey’s Goal?
Arsenal recorded a big win against Fulham on Sunday to climb up to 4th position on the log table and it will be okay to point to the fact that contract rebel Aaron Ramsey was on the scoresheet. Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and another from the Wales international were enough to help Arsenal with their sixth successive Premier League win of the season. Ramsey however, joins Aubameyang as the first players to be subbed in, score a goal and give assists in a single game. It has never happened in the Premier League history. This is the quality that is going to be missed if the Wales international is allowed to leave the club at the end of the season. Ramsey’s commitment to the Gunners is a statement that he wants to remain at the Emirates but … [Read more...]
Why Arsenal’s 5-1 win is “deceitful”, Lacazette
Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has described the 5-1 Gunners win against Fulham has being deceitful, explaining that the game did not reflect the result. The North London side ran riot in the Premier League clash at Craven Cottage in which Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lacazette scored twice in addition to the stylish goal by Aaron Ramsey. The Frenchman stated that the scoreline gives it a look of an easy game for his side but noted that it was very difficult. He revealed that the manager Unai Emery had taught them how to win the game by being efficient despite playing a good team. However, Aubameyang praised the spirit in the team and hopes his side continue in that level for all games. The Gabon international stated that the positive mentality … [Read more...]
Ramsey proves Emery right with new EPL record

The Paraguayan has got a shouting record in the United States with his impressive display for Atlanta … [Read more...]

How Wenger is contributing to Arsenal’s current success
Arsenal legend, Martin Keown has claimed that former Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger has his hands on the current success at the North London club under Unai Emery. Wenger left the Emirates Stadium in the summer after 22 years reign but the Arsenal legend says his legacies still play a part in Emery’s successes. Keown argues that Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have both been key to the wins under the Spanish manager but they were brought to the club by the former French manager. Wenger had signed Lacazette from Lyon with a fee of £47m and Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund for £56m and the duo have formed a partnership that has given the Gunners the spark in the attack.
