Former Arsenal and France international player Abou Diaby has officially retired from football at the age of 32. Abou Diaby made his retirement known in French television channel RMC’s “Footissime” show where he said he would be bringing his professional career to an end because it is the right time. He had an early career with French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain before his move to the North London outfit from Auxerre in 2006, where he spent almost a decade before calling it quits. Abou Diaby Says He Could Have Won The Ballon d’or At Arsenal
Olympique Marseille midfielder Abou Diaby has disclosed that if he was not hindered by his many injury problems at former club Arsenal he could have won the Ballon d'or at the North London outfit. The 30-year old made the move to Arsenal from French side Auxerre in January 2006 and went on to score 19 goals in 140 appearances before he was released in June 2015 however his time at the club would be remembered for the numerous injuries he suffered while on the playing personnel at the North London side.
