Sanchez Deserves Higher Wages Than Pogba, Rangers Star Shares His Thoughts On Sanchez’s Contract Situation

English football’s bad boy Joey Barton has stated that Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez should be earning more money than Manchester United midfielder and world transfer record holder Paul Pogba after he shared his thoughts on the current contract impasse involving the Chilean forward and German playmaker Mesut Ozil at the Emirates Stadium.

Barton is of the belief that Sanchez, who scored a second half hat-trick in the club’s last league clash against hosts West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium in what culminated in a 5-1 win for the North London outfit, has performed better than Pogba and as a result deserves better financial rewards.

Speaking on the Chilean’s contract situation, Barton said: “Sanchez will know, or his agent should know, exactly what the going rate is. Your Pogba money, your Gareth Bale money and the (Cristiano) Ronaldo deal at Real Madrid recently. I’m not saying they are in that bracket but in this moment in time, Sanchez is better than Pogba.”

“He’s not better than Ronaldo but he’s better than Pogba so his agent should be pitching for somewhere in the middle.” the former Manchester City, Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers (QPR) star further added.

Alexis Sanchez is presently on £130,000 weekly wages just behind club’s top earner Mesut Ozil, who is on £140,000 per week wages, while Paul Pogba, an £89m signing from Juventus in the summer, is currently on £290,000.
